Great question right? This is the message behind Darius Rucker's "For The First Time". The song video is themed around someone who took a chance on love and ended up creating a beautiful family because they took that chance. The idea that taking chances can turn into something very special and exciting is what makes life so great. And it is not just for the young of age, but for the young of heart. In his song lyrics, Darius encourages us to "Let yourself go, follow that feeling, maybe something new is what you are needing". & "Let your hair down and feel ALIVE". Do you ever get into a rut? Same thing different day. Sure you do, it is OK it is human nature. Well trying something new can actually bring a new sense of purpose or feeling of great accomplishment. It doesn't have to be anything grand. It could be as simple as creating a new recipe to share with someone special, taking up photography or even simply strolling around the block for the first time in many years...or ever! The photo featured above creates the perfect feeling you get when you do something different. It can turn a grey day into a blue sky day with pillowy clouds. The young lady throws caution to the wind on her swing with her bare feet dangling while she watches the world below "soldier" on. She keeps her hair tie around her wrist so her hair can fly free, liberated. It is never too late to find your imagination again, go back to dreams you had that took a back seat to life's everyday responsibilities. When I turned 50 a couple years back, I vowed to act a year younger for each year after. So today I act 48 & 1/2. Can't wait to see what I am doing at 39 & 1/2 .
